All purchases from Prestige Bespoke Furniture are subject to the following terms and conditions:
You are entering into a contract with us, Prestige Bespoke Furniture upon placing an order with us.
Orders
You are responsible when placing orders for ensuring that all information you supply to us for sizes, materials, paint colours, finishings and fittings are correct and accurate. We accept no liability whatsoever for errors made by you. Any estimate or quote we give to you is valid for 3 months only. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure your order is able to be delivered to your property/the destination room and will fit through external and internal doorways and up narrow staircases or through narrow rooms and hallways. We do not accept any liability for errors in this regard. Delivery is usually to ground floor only. If you require a delivery to a basement, first floor or higher this must be discussed when placing the order.
We reserve the right to cancel your order should any payment due not be forthcoming. We reserve the right to cancel the contract if we or our suppliers have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered or such goods have been discontinued.
All lead times for orders for goods are an estimate and subject to change, if your order is affected we will inform you and endeavour to deliver your goods within a reasonable timeframe subject to circumstances outside of our control.
If any amendment to your order is required before production of your goods have begun this needs to be confirmed and agreed in person by way of a telephone call, email communication will not be accepted. Any amendments discussed and agreed must be confirmed thereafter via email. Any amendments made to your order once production has begun will incur further charges.
Upon ordering of goods you must provide us with your address for invoicing and your address for delivery and your contact details. If we are provided with only one address we will make the assumption this is the delivery address for the goods unless you state otherwise. We will not accept liability for any non communication from you for change of address.
We use pine wood as standard for all of our furniture. Pine is a natural wood and therefore has natural grains and knots. Although we do treat the knots there is no guarantee that knot shadows will not show through on painted furniture after time and natural wood grain can show even on painted furniture. Natural wood furniture moves during changes of seasons and this can cause shadows of knots although this is very rare. If you wish us to source a different material for your furniture please discuss this with us. This would incur further costs.
Deposits and Final Payment
We require a non refundable deposit to be paid when placing an order and upon receipt of our invoice. The full balance is due 48 hours before completion (this must be cleared funds) of the order on a date to be agreed between us. Non payment of the full balance will result in cancellation of your order. If you do not pay the full balance 48 hours before completion of the order is due (on the date we have agreed) and then wish to make a late payment this may result in your delivery being delayed. No orders will leave the workshop until the outstanding balance has been paid in full.
Bespoke Orders
A bespoke order is defined as an order made to your required measurements and/or design, to include use of any paint range not described by us as our standard range and to include furniture that is painted inside. As with a standard order, the full balance is due 48 hours before completion of the order (date to be agreed) and before delivery. Non payment of the full balance will result in cancellation of your order. If you do not pay the full balance 48 hours before completion of the order (date to be agreed) and before delivery is due and then wish to make a late payment this may result in your delivery being delayed.
Delivery/Collection
Prestige Bespoke Furniture uses third party couriers for all goods deliveries. Please note the contract for delivery is with the courier, not Prestige Bespoke Furniture. All payments for delivery will need to be made directly to the courier for your goods unless otherwise agreed. We do not accept responsibility for quotations or delivery charges. The third party courier will need to be provided with your contact details in order to arrange delivery.
Once your goods are ready the Courier will contact you direct to arrange a delivery date. Any dates specified by us/the courier for delivery of goods are intended to be an estimate and delivery shall be within a reasonable time.
The courier is unaccompanied and so may require assistance to safely unload your furniture. Should you require a second person to help with unloading please state this when speaking to the courier when they contact you to arrange delivery (further charges will apply). It is your responsibility to verify the dimensions of the delivery destination meticulously to ensure that the goods will fit through external and internal doors and/or narrow hallways and reach the intended destination. Prestige Bespoke Furniture cannot be held responsible for any errors in this context. Our courier only delivers to the ground floor unless otherwise agreed directly with you. It is your responsibility to ensure that at your own expense adequate and appropriate equipment and manual labour is available for unloading of goods at the delivery destination.
We reserve the right to refuse an order if we do not deliver to your area. If the delivery address stated when placing your order changes then further charges may be incurred.
Upon delivery of goods you are responsible for inspecting goods and reporting to us immediately (within 1 working day) any alleged fault or error that has been found and before the goods are used or fitted. We will not accept liability for any claim in respect of any alleged defect, fault or error that would be apparent upon inspection before use or fitting. The courier will supply to you a delivery note for you to sign to confirm that your item of furniture has been delivered in good condition with no defects, faults or errors.
If you are unable to take delivery of your goods once your order is complete then we will charge storage fees at a cost of £50 per item of furniture per week. We will only store your item for a maximum period of 4 weeks
If you wish to arrange to collect your goods yourself directly from our premises then you will need to arrange to do this in a timely manner once the order is complete. We do not store furniture and once a delivery or collection date has been set then we expect this to go ahead. If you are unable to collect the furniture on the agreed date then we will charge storage fees at a cost of £50 per item of furniture per week. We will only store your item for a maximum period of 4 weeks whereupon we will look to resell the item of furniture. This will incur charges for storage, marketing for re-sale, labour and any re-paint.
We do not accept responsibility for any damage to furniture incurred by yourself or anyone collecting on your behalf during the loading process or once in transit.
Force Majeure
We are not responsible for any failure to perform obligations under our contract with you, if we are prevented or delayed in performing those obligations by an event of force majeure, this includes deferring of delivery date without liability to you if we are prevented from, or delayed in carrying out our business due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control including and without limitation, acts of god, Governmental actions, war or national emergency, acts of terrorism, protests, civil commotion, fire, explosion, epidemic, flood, labour disputes and delays affecting obtaining supplies or suitable materials.
Acceptance
Once a deposit has been received this will amount to your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
